This Silence 04:50
Deep in the nothing of my doubts It draws them further on the stream I own the way down through Sinking, falling over and away They are not waiting for me now It knows the promises they bring The lights would shine true in my eyes A moment far, far away Here we are I know I will reach the end From across I don't see this silence, no, no, no… What would it take to fall asleep To slip deep into the veil Far beneath eternity Hidden with secrecy, stolen away But time knows nothing any more For their travels in the dreams The clocks are ticking down Storm's travels taken all away
2.
I have lost today The vision passed You'll see the same Within confusion Nothing but the same All monotony Nothing but knowing Time is leaving It's reaching toward me On the foreign sands Words will find a way To heal my past And the tables will turn Your choice is made I understand It must be this way Looking through the pieces Of my mind - a betrayal Following the footsteps Of the real world - it's blinding And I never dream They don't come to me I sit in isolation Finding peace This is not a game They don't know the rules I find a way To use it against them all I'm not losing my mind If it's all the same If you can find Another thing to say You know the truth They can't know my name To see the power I've already gained
3.
Winter Fell 05:39
Waiting for my own fault I doubt the long road There's a place I must go to Won't I wander alone Into the trail of the wind Across a foreign soil Tired and colder I long to return I'm not my own self A new life She treads behind me A white dream Running from the shadows Running home They're fast behind me A breath each night Where are you now A long continent to go A vision of forests I speak the words…of wisdom
4.
Mantra 04:44
No tongues speak the same My words don't find them Your lips move for different thoughts I speak no evil No eyes look on the same Your eyes can't feel my pain Sight won't correct your vision I see no evil No ears hear the same My sounds don't correct your days Our ears hear no thoughts I hear no evil
5.
Suspend 05:40
Trapped in time At the edge of reality If I could stand And look it in the eyes And change back To the way things were Take everything away So I am not suspended Suspended above my life Hovering around my fears Feelings change You've changed too And I can't speak And I can't know And I'm not alone And I fall And I am far And I am fear And my tears flood And I fall And I can't see And I can't leave And I'm far beyond And I fall And I am near And I am real And my heart longs And I am
6.
Fly into the arms of the wind Into the path of eternity waiting Union worn away by time Shattered by misunderstanding Finding whispers in the ground Lies muttered in waves of pain Scratching and burning of the past Dancing and dreaming in circles Take this air beneath me A breath that now drowns Imminent perception of life Left without a glance behind More unto fire dreamt Coursed by a stream of light shining Drawn by the sights of clouds Night sky breathes into me
7.
Mother 05:12
She's sick, in need Life support, system failure Atmosphere control error Emergency procedures must take effect No alternative, cannot abandon ship We'll die with her, Mother She's sick in need Life support, system failure Atmosphere control error Suffocation process must take effect No alternative, cannot abandon ship We'll die with her, Mother
8.
we are watching while you sleep we are the nightmares in your dreams we are everywhere we are everywhere we are the ones snatching souls we are the ones in control we are everywhere we are everywhere come let me put my arms around you come let me pray beside you come let show you a true god feelings of submission the ageless come the dust in a darkened corner seems so alive watching eyes spiders peer over me eight legged angels spin by night catching all misguided flying by a living god who waits patiently without a twitch body snatching technique very quick don't lie why'd you lie don't deny it to yourself this time
9.
Push the tender nights aside As emotions drift by Many thoughts collide Cruel ravishing strains The heavens open wide And the windows close tight And the wind it sings by my side Never a sorrow And now the words leave No explanation for me How can we see The illusions dance away
10.
If Ever 04:11
If ever we could bind it up Integrate it in our souls Find the time we saw blind Figure the wrongs gone right If ever we learned what we had lost Incomplete and worn With no sweetness I can have it A thousand times of nothing Don't you stop here Playing with my dirty fears Falling down the drain It ended yesterday If ever we could push away Smother all the pain Tear the day down Smooth all the insanity over If ever we knew the truth And grasp the lies within Wouldn't make it all right To deny all the things we have done
11.
Goodbye 03:15
Fly away All alone today Like the birds Say our parting words It falls to me Frayed and old and beat See it fade All the dreams we made I bid my final goodbye It's time to say goodbye And my body falls beneath the clouds And my body falls beneath the waves It ends this way To find another place So goodbye…

about

Shadow Puppets is easily the band’s defining moment—a seamless amalgam of electronics, ethereal melodies and sensuous rhythms. The album is often very dynamic and anthemic, yet equally convincing when quiet and introspective. As always, Summer Bowman’s startlingly beautiful vocal performances flutter effortlessly with power and humble emotional softness, perfectly balancing the strength of the guitars, complex beats and synths. Together with Roger Fracé, the duo has composed a passionate album that transcends the darkwave genre.

Alternative dance-friendly tracks include “The Inside World,” “Spider’s Bride” (a duet with Roger) and “Goodbye” while beautiful ballads such as “Winter Fell” and “More Unto Fire Dreamt” showcase Summer’s emotive vocals. But the band also experiments—stretching their talents with unique electronic rhythm arrangements with tracks “Mantra,” “Mother” and “If Ever.” The track “Suspend,” which foreshadowed the album on the Electica Volume 2 compilation, has been expanded with aggressive guitars.
